This must be true, because it's in the New York Times, and they've got those layers and layers of fact-checking: “Global warming will itself almost certainly directly cause mass killing"

Clinton and Other Experts Discuss Ways to Avert Genocide - NYTimes.com
Climate change acts as a “multiplier of other resource crises,” according to Timothy Snyder, a professor of history at Yale University, causing uncertainty about resources, leading to “the ecological panic that I’m afraid will lead to mass killings in the decades to come,” Mr. Snyder told the symposium.

“We’ve entered into this moment of ecological panic,” he said. “Global warming will itself almost certainly directly cause mass killing, but it will likely indirectly cause it” as major states like China and the United States seek to feed their citizens, possibly touching off shortages elsewhere, in places that would then be at risk. China has already begun to act and, in a potential harbinger of future problems, has been investing in farmland in Ukraine and in parts of Africa for a few years.

And no one put him in a rubber room, for this statement? Let me get this again, global warming must have caused the dinosaurs to kill each other, off. Must have caused the suicides in the jones compound, caused the Titanic to sink, caused the lead writtings on paper to disappear? Caused thunderstorms, snowstorms, arid air, and angles to dance on the head of a pin. Some one should be in a rubber room and I don't think its me.

Yale will not allow me to email them any longer, because I took them to task over the AGW theory.

They can't handle it, when someone can refute everything they are trying to impose upon the public.

My opinion of the YALE climate department , is they need to go to school and start with climate class101.

More ridiculous speculation, exaggeration and Scare Tactics.
Doesn't Yale teach the equivalent of eight grade science any more?
Science has really gone down grade during the past 70 years science I was a science student.

There are two things that are new to climate change:
They are 1)increasing temperature, and 2) increasing
CO2 in the atmosphere. It is not difficult to look bac
and see the benefits of a bit of temperature increase.
Look at the medieval worm period, for instance.
And, for now, look at a small part of present science
for increased plant growth. And lesser water needs
because of increased CO2.
Neither of these will be Catastropic...as the people
proclaiming this say, but believe?

CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition, 1/7th the absorber of IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules captures 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all "global warming." CO2 does only 0.2% of it.

Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

This is not a liberal versus conservative issue as the last poster suggests. It is a science versus junk science issue. The liberal agenda has been highjacked by extreme environmentalists whose agenda is reactionary, seeking to undo the industrial revolution and return us to what they imagine was the wonderful natural world which has no human footprint. You can't get more reactionary than that.

"Clinton and Other Experts Discuss Ways to Avert Genocide"

Clinton?!? Expert?!?

The bar has certainly been lowered to be awarded the title of expert.

Clinton completely blew it with the Russian 'reset button'. The 'Arab Spring' only gave birth to the Muslim Brotherhood. Iran still nuking away and expanding their Navy from bases in Syria to the western hemisphere.

Clinton's supposed expertise couldn't even dampen her husband's adulturous ways at home and now she is suddenly an expert on future world genocide in face of all of her failed initiatives?
