US shoppers fail to go green
When asked to select the words associated with green consumers, the terms "responsible", "caring", "healthy" "innovative" and "smart" proved prominent. But more negative words like "weird" "annoying" and "self-obsessed" were also commonly-cited.

THE HOCKEY SCHTICK: New paper finds global warming over past century was only about half of IPCC claims
A recent paper presented at the European Geosciences Union meeting finds global warming over past century was only about one-half [0.42°C] of that claimed by the IPCC [0.7-0.8°C]. The paper finds that in 2/3 (67%) of the weather stations examined, questionable adjustments were made to raw data that resulted in "increased positive trends, decreased negative trends, or changed negative trends to positive," whereas "the expected proportions would be 1/2 (50%)."

[Worstall] It’s difficult to deny that large areas of the US are undergoing drought conditions at the moment. But should we be assuming that this is a portent of climate change? Or even that it is a harbinger of a new Dust Bowl, as in the 1930? We cannot completely rule out either of those possibilities but the correct answers as yet are no and no.
