I can’t see the locals being too upset about that… That also fits with the observation that a lot of the GISSTEMP global warming is due to the extrapolation over the Arctic. That would benefit from some further investigation.

None of this gives us anything solid about heatwaves, or tells us anything about cause, of course. For all we know, the same thing might have happened in the MWP.

In short – we have all been conned.
