Frost in Chicago, St. Louis Suburbs Tuesday Night
The average date of the first frost in Chicago occurs during the middle of October but has occurred as early as the middle of September.

Bundle up! Three-quarters of the Minnesota is under either a freeze warning or frost advisory this morning.

The National Weather Service says most of the upper half of the state will stay in the upper-20's to mid-30's until well after daybreak. The coldest spots -- mid-20's -- are in places like Big Fork, Hibbing, Roseau and Warroad. Meanwhile, the southwestern quarter of the state is under a frost advisory.

Mother Nature has spoken THE WORD this fall (actually, it’s still summer): snow! Fortunately, for us, she didn’t speak for long and her words were not harsh, at least, in Teller. Some of the staff made a quickie trip into Nome Sunday a.m. and reported that around Woolley Lagoon it was extremely windy with blowing snow. Later in the afternoon, a towing service came here to get my van and reported that the snow was much deeper.
