‘Turn Back the Tide’ climate change awareness campaign launched - Local - The Telegram
Newfoundland and Labrador has launched a new climate change public awareness campaign.

Titled “Turn Back the Tide,” it includes television, online and print media promotional material.

According to a news release, the prevailing message of the initiative will focus on sea level rise and increased storm activity in the North Atlantic.

Maidens brave cold weather at reed dance
[Swaziland] Throngs of maidens in their traditional regalia danced and sang cheerfully much to the applause of those in attendance. Some maidens were heard singing “Iyo Sivemakhata Iyo Iyo” as they entered the arena to assemble in their respective places.
A few of the maidens, who were seen by members of the Royal Swaziland Police trying to run away to seek refuge in the many cars that were parked around the arena in a bid to escape the pouring rain, were swiftly reprimanded and turned back to join the other maidens.
