A cabal of the weird showed up to warn that the county had been sucked into a United Nations conspiracy. That global warming was a hoax, part of the U.N.’s secret plan to impose “one world order.” The conspiracy theory evolved from a 1992 U.N. resolution, known as Agenda 21, that encouraged nations to use fewer resources and conserve open land.Broward Adopts Climate Change Plan; Dumbasses Think It's a U.N. Conspiracy - Broward/Palm Beach - News - The Daily Pulp
“They truly believe that we’re under siege by some U.N. force seeking world domination,” said Commissioner Stacy Ritter. “They believe that the slogan, ‘Think globally, act locally,’ comes out of some one world government conspiracy.”
The commissioners approved eight separate items within a “framework for integrating the economic, environmental, and social factors of climate change.” Before each vote, the protestors lined up, six and eight deep, to repeat their conspiracy theories.
The problem is that even if there was a U.N. conspiracy, it’s difficult to imagine how such a famously inefficient institution could pull it off. This is the same outfit, mind you, that has dawdled for a year, unable to figure out how to stop civilian massacres in Syria. “When was the last time the U.N. did anything?” Ritter asked.

Even against bike trails. That’s undoubtedly the very invasion route that army of lying climate scientists and sneaky water managers and U.N. soldiers will use when they come pedaling down America’s bike lanes on their way to one-world government.
One person showed up in support. The rest of the public comments came from dumbasses, who stood up for every line item to rant about a government conspiracy.
One of the dumbasses said that "global warming is a hoax, and we should not get involved in it."
"This is something that the United Nations is trying to come in and take us over," said another dumbass, who called it "disgusting" that commissioners were smirking while he talked.

Local lobbyist and environmentalist Seth Platt posted comments after the meeting, noting that one person, Valerie Amor, showed up in support of the plan. "In opposition, several crazy Tea Party members attempted to debate the issue, muttering complete and utter nonsense," he wrote.
The resolution passed despite the testimony of the dumbasses.

What if there actually IS a conspiracy? Can't we apply the same precautionary principle that the CAGW crowd is using? By advocating the elimination of the use of fossil fuels, they are in effect advocating the destruction of modern technological civilization. By that same precautionary argument, we should therefore advocate the destruction of the UN and all it's agencies.
True, the UN can't accomplish anything of substance, and Agenda 21 will be no different. But they are good at creating bloated, money-sucking buraucracies, with fellow-travellers all too eager to join in.
