They're stitched together from some spooky combination of the natural and the unnatural.

Again, I call bullshit on guys like McKibben, Mooney, and Monbiot who all seem to have acquired a mind virus of primitive superstition. They try to sound like their superstition is based in science, but end up sounding ridiculous. When hurricane experts such as Chris Landsea say that the human signal is undetectable in hurricanes (see http://rogerpielkejr.blogspot.com/2012/10/what-is-wrong-with-embellishing-science.html), McKibben and company are strutting around saying the exact opposite and proposing that anyone who doesn't believe man is now responsible for every weather event is a big fat doo-doo head denier. Now Grist is posing the idea that Sandy is God's revenge upon the US. In other words, Grist is implying "God hates deniers." When can we start relegating McKibben, Mooney, and Monbiot to the same pile of nonsense we put the Reverend Fred Phelps with his "God Hates Fags" meme?
