Sounding more like a climate scientist than a movie star, Hannah told the audience: "Weather is a little bit, almost, ephemeral or intangible; it's hard for people to get their heads around. But the ocean is more acidic than it's ever been in the history of our species on this planet.
"That's because there's more carbon in the atmosphere. The ocean sequesters carbon for us, it gets absorbed in algae and it sinks down to the bottom of the ocean. ... So that's one thing that shows that the climate crisis is happening unequivocally."
