Smithsonian in US launches 1st global climate change monitoring network
WASHINGTON - The Smithsonian museum in the U.S. is launching an initiative to create the first global network monitoring climate change and human impacts on ocean life.

Los Angeles hedge fund manager Michael Tennenbaum is announcing a $10 million donation Thursday. He says long-term data is needed to raise the level of dialogue about climate change and biodiversity.
