Because of the vast fluctuations in temperature and water supply on the Prairies, Sauchyn said it can be tricky to discern where naturally occurring climate change ends and people-created climate change begins. One of the most obvious signs that people are having a devastating and permanent impact on the world climate is the disappearance of glacier ice - the reason the conference is being held where it is. [If part of a glacier melts, how is it "obvious" that CO2 was the cause?]
