Do the Math - Because We > Fossil Fuels.
[There's a map of Bill's tour stops at the link above; he's not spending much time in areas not heavily populated by left-wingers] On November 7th, we’re hitting the road to jumpstart the next phase of the climate movement.Flashback: Frontline’s ‘Climate of Doubt’ — Enough Time for ‘Skeptics’ to Self-Destruct? | The Yale Forum on Climate Change & The Media
It’s simple math: we can burn 565 more gigatons of carbon and stay below 2°C of warming — anything more than that risks catastrophe for life on earth. The only problem? Fossil fuel corporations now have 2,795 gigatons in their reserves, five times the safe amount. And they’re planning to burn it all — unless we rise up to stop them.
“There are holdouts among the urban bi-coastal elite,” the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Ebell tells Hockenberry when asked about public attitudes on climate change. “But I think we’ve won the debate with the American people in the heartland, the people who get their hands dirty, people who dig up stuff, grow stuff, and make stuff for a living, people who have a closer relationship to tangible reality, to stuff.”

Hey McKibben, 'they' aren't the ones burning it, consumers are, including you and your fellow climateers. Why not demand that your devout groupies stop buying and burning fossil fuels? You will shame the nonbelievers into following your example.
