Overheated planet update: October Arctic sea ice extent was over 3,800 Manhattans larger than it was five years ago

Remember all those October 2007 superstorms that we experienced because of the allegedly CO2-induced lack of sea ice that year?  I don't.

Ice extent doubled in October. The rate of increase since the 2012 minimum was near record, resulting in an October monthly extent 230,000 square kilometers (88,800 square miles) greater than the previous low for the month, which occurred in 2007.
