2010:  Christine O'Donnell win stuns Delaware - David Catanese - POLITICO.com
WILMINGTON, Del. — Tea Party insurgent Christine O'Donnell won a stunning victory over nine-term Rep. Mike Castle in the Delaware Senate primary Tuesday night, making him the eighth establishment-backed Republican to fall in a turbulent primary season.

O'Donnell defeated Castle by a six-percentage-point margin, 53 percent to 47 percent, instantly altering the once-dim Democratic prospects of retaining the open seat formerly held by Vice President Joe Biden.
