According to the NOAA, the average world temperature across land and oceans in October was 14.63°C , 0.63°C above the average for the 20th century. Based on their figures, the last October with a below-average temperature was in 1976.

While the NOAA states that the average temperature worldwide in October 2012 is above average, it also notes that in Britain, the temperature in the same period was 1.3°C below the average temperature between 1981 and 2010. This made it the coldest October here in nine years.

Note that if you fudge the historical average down and the current average up, you can make the world "too warm"!

According to the leaders of the global warming doomsday cult, the average surface temperature of Earth is 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 degrees Fahrenheit), but this is a new value which has quietly replaced the original average of 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit)...As it turned out, the average temperature of 15 degrees Celsius was an inconvenient value that did not support the allegations of global warming.
