Moscow facing its coldest stretch in December in 50 years?

Cold weather gets a grip on Moscow
The cold weather that set in on December 15 is 7-10 degrees lower than the norm, and should it stay until the weekend, it would be the coldest stretch in December in 50 years, Meteonovosti reported......Meteorologists predict that the cold will let up only at the start of next week
The cold snap has killed 29 Russians since it started. In the 24 hours up to Tuesday afternoon, six people died in the Chelyabinsk region, two in the Krasnoyarsk region, and one in Moscow, a source in the Health Ministry told RIA Novosti.

Overall in Russia, 322 people have been injured in the cold and 175 have had to be treated in hospitals since Dec. 15.
