Aussie heatwaves and the Met Office reveal the certainties and uncertainties that are forgotten in the climate row – Telegraph Blogs
As Roger Pielke Jr points out in his book The Climate Fix, the best defence against the extreme events that climate change will probably cause is development. In the end warming itself doesn't matter, it's the droughts and heatwaves and (possibly) hurricanes that come with it that will kill people, and if we can mitigate their effects then anthropogenic climate change itself is less of a problem.
...Hundreds of millions of Indians don't even have electric light. I'd rather they had coal-powered lights than no light at all.
