NPR tells us that environmentalists and climate scientists claim that we can "stop the droughts, wildfires and super storms" if we "accelerate the pace that we move off of all fossil fuels"

"We're not even close to the pace of reductions that we need to see," [Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune] says. "If we really want to stop the droughts, wildfires and super storms, we're going to have to accelerate the pace that we move off of all fossil fuels."
