I am not an Obama fan but I have an odd take his green agenda. The Kyoto protocol and the agreements that were supposed to follow looked very much like European environmental philosophy being imposed on the rest of the world just as European governments and religion had been two centuries earlier. In essence, environmentalism looks like colonialism wrapped in a green agenda. Obama's father was very resentful of the European colonial influence on Africa and it is rumored that the return of a Churchill bust to England was rooted in a distaste for past English colonial history. Is it possible that Obama might see environmentalists as simply a solid Democratic voting block that needs to be pandered to a bit but his heart is not in their agenda?

That works out to $125,000 per job. How long lasting were these jobs and what was the pay?
