Germans Are Catching On to Global Warming Alarmism | Power Line
So have climate scientists admitted they were wrong and gone back to the drawing board? Of course not! Instead, they have come up with a new explanation: global warming causes colder weather!
One day, turning off the lights won't be up to you - Telegraph
[Christopher Booker]If our government were not lost in a bubble of complete make-believe, it would keep open those coal-fired power stations the EU is forcing us to close next month (although it may be too late), it would stop subsidising grotesquely expensive wind farms, and it would go flat out to exploit Britain’s vast reserves of the shale gas that has more than halved US gas prices in four years.

But we do not have such a government. Our lights will go out, our economy will suffer a catastrophe, our bills will double, and tens of thousands more people will die of cold in those freezing winters that our politicians were somehow fooled into believing would never come again.
The Reference Frame: Mauna Loa carbon dioxide: a fit
If you could make plants thrive in the winter as well, you could easily subtract something like 13 ppm of CO2 from the atmosphere every year, well above the 2 ppm by which we are increasing the concentration every year (it's 1/2 of 4 ppm we are adding; the other half is already being absorbed by the enhanced consumption of CO2 due to the elevated concentrations).
Roger Pielke Jr.'s Blog: Interesting Update on the Sandy "Hurricane Deductible"
As a case study in the application of "evidence-based policy" you won't find a better one than the hurricane deductible. Sometimes "evidence" matters, sometimes it does not. Sometime we care about whether it matters, sometimes we do not.
