Authorities on Scene of Duluth Armory Roof Collapse
Initial reports indicate that the roof had collapsed due to heavy snow.

Hermantown, Minn., got another half-foot of snow Sunday, bringing the total on the ground to a couple of feet.
"We've got snow banks taller than my truck," said Troy Grohsman, owner of Miller Creek Lawn and Landscape & Garden Centers in Hermantown.
He hoped to open his garden centers on May 4, but expects he'll have to postpone. "We've got mountains of snow up there around our greenhouses," he said.
Grohsman has been in the business for 26 years and said, "This is the most snow this late I've ever seen."

In the whole range of predictions from a near average winter, to a "drive by" winter, to a colder than average winter....nobody nailed the notion of a protracted winter into spring of 2013. Talk about exposing the limitations of long range forecasting.
