UNICEF UK Blog on the dangers of CO2-induced overheating: "it doesn’t just mean the cold"

UNICEF UK Blog - Climate change: a very real thing affecting our children, now.
The weather is often a hot topic of discussion, but never more so than in recent months during what was the coldest March in the UK for 50 years. Weeks of freezing weather caused disruption across the UK with thousands of homes losing power and roads left impassable.

Why is the weather so bad and why are the seasons so unpredictable? Two words: climate change.
...Climate change is very real and is affecting children’s lives, right now. And it doesn’t just mean the cold, but also flooding, droughts and heatwaves.
...
As a dad to a 14-year-old daughter, I worry about what climate change means for her future and her children’s future. Extreme flooding, colder, longer winters and harsher summers; it’s causing chaos in the developed world and it’s threatening children’s very survival in poorer countries.
