A field of wild Jersey orchids have not bloomed because of cold weather, delaying the field's official opening.

It was due to open on Sunday but the National Trust for Jersey has put it back until the end of the month.
Jonny Parks, senior ranger for the National Trust for Jersey, said this time last year the field was full of purple and yellow flowers.
He said: "We have had a long cold spell...so we are a little behind and are hoping within the next two weeks we should be back to full bloom.
