Let us know if this doesn't turn out to be another embarrassing fiasco: Energy.gov claims that "a U.S. offshore wind industry that takes advantage of this abundant domestic resource could support up to 200,000 manufacturing, construction, operation and supply chain jobs across the country and drive over $70 billion in annual investments by 2030"

The Maine Public Utility Commission (PUC) has approved a project proposal by Statoil to build a $120 million deepwater wind turbine demonstration project off the coast of Boothby Harbor, in the Gulf of Maine.
