All over the world, would-be planet saviours are waiting in airport lounges, shuffling through boarding gates, riffling through in-flight magazines and settling back with a glass of something pleasant as their planes clamber noisily up to cruising altitude, setting light to vast amounts of fossil fuel in the process.
Like busy bees they criss-cross the globe – off to conferences, off to meetings, off to fact-finding missions, and off to holidays in foreign parts.
