Palmer would repeal 'silly' carbon tax | Newcastle Herald

Endorsed at the Palmer United Party's "super Sunday" NSW candidates launch at the weekend, Shortland candidate Phil Baldwin and Paterson candidate Jayson Packett said the party planned to abolish the carbon tax.

Mr Packett, 40 of East Maitland, said the tax was driving up power prices and, as the father of a young family, he dreaded electricity bills.

Mr Baldwin said the Palmer United Party would pay back money raised from the "silly" tax.
