Twenty-five years ago this coming Sunday, on June 23, 1988, Dr. James Hansen of NASA officially launched the man-made global warming scare by proclaiming before a Congressional hearing and the world that "the greenhouse effect is here and is affecting our climate now." From there the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change took over, and the rest is history.

So, celebrations are in order. Time to commemorate:
