Doubting is thinking: Tesla's car business continues to lose money: "profit" dwarfed by carbon credits
This non-GAAP profit is so small, it's actually less than what they get from selling pollution credits. In other words: they lose money when they sell cars, and make it up by selling credits. Rival carmakers provide all of Tesla's profit.

The big-picture point of this whole incident is this: If the Canadian government ends up giving more credence to Inuit perspectives than it does to polar bear scientists, as the Environment Minister’s press releases suggest, then the biologists have only themselves to blame.
