What more needs to be said.

Love you Johnny Rotten and please continue your endless fight to bring common sense to the Bird Forum.

I hereby award you the Profile in Stubborness medallion.

One of the most cogent things I've heard recently is Carpinterio's explanation of the Luneau video, cutting out Jackson from peer review, etc,

"This was a mistake? No, this was a strategy."

I think we should all agree to this and stop arguing the "facts" of the video etc. In many ways, even the video is now ignored by Fitzcrow et al. They are instead spreading these ideas of endless non-searched habitat and ultra wary IBWOs. Just more strawdogs thrown in our face to keep the story alive and buy themselves more time.

Instead, we should concentrate on the strategy as Carpinterio says. Does anyone know the history between Jackson and Fitzcrow?

This is an ode to the oldest story never told
About those whose conscious tells them to be bold
Self described posters fondly called the anona-mice
Those brave souls who must remain anonymous

While some may try to rule by intimidation
Using bluff and misinformation for their salvation
Using bad science and logic as a strategy
But don’t confuse this poem with an elegy

For out of darkness something great has come
A salvation of comment as loud as a beating drum
Giving hope to those who suspect the worst
Given by those who were there from the first
Like lurking ghosts from the French resistance
They are there to provoke and make insistence
That bad ideas promoted for personal gain
Are evil beasts that should be slain

So next you run across a blistering post
Written by nothing more than a literate ghost
Be aware of the debt you owe
To brave souls who struck the blow
