Well based on the links on her website, "Ruth" is a creationist and the science education she is giving her kids would fit right in with Bobby's view of what one believes is true in science.
You just figure out what you would like to believe, ignore all the evidence that your belief has no basis in reality, manufacture some story that lets you maintain your belief, and go to a naive public to preach to them about how your faith allowed you to have the truth revealed to you (but not most other people).
Oh, and then maybe ask them for money and/or sell them a book so you can continue your inspired work.
