Ariz. House OKs bill to block greenhouse gas rules
"This bill is not about greenhouses gases. This bill is about separation of powers and whether the citizens of Arizona should have some input in how decisions about our future are made," said Rep. Bill Konopnicki, R-Safford.
Democratic lawmakers defended the rules, saying they're good for the state and that the Legislature should have acted on the issue on its own.
"This train has left the station. The governor has taken the lead on this issue to benefit the state of Arizona," said Rep. Steve Gallardo, D-Phoenix.
