Canada: Lunn dishes cash, barbs in whirlwind Island tour

However, [Natural Resources Minister Gary] Lunn didn't hold back on dishing out as much criticism as he did cash yesterday, taking his first public swipe at the B.C. Liberal government. He said the province's carbon tax is wrongheaded and won't achieve results in reducing greenhouse-gas emissions.

"I'm saying I categorically disagree with the carbon tax," Lunn said. "I think it's fundamentally the wrong approach and I would say that to anyone who brings in that policy."
