The foreign wind companies along with state and local elected officials know very well that wind turbines and people cannot live on the same block. Big money and tax credits have become more important than ethics and living up to the oath they took when they came into office, which was to protect the citizens of this state. Some of our public officials with wind money in their pockets need to be brought to task for siding with foreign wind companies over the citizens of this state.
Republican state representatives and candidates called Gov. Jim Doyle's Task Force on Global Warming and the possible legislation that could come from its recommendations "harebrained" and "nonsensical" at a town hall meeting Wednesday night in Eau Claire.
Americans for Prosperity, a group that aims to limit the role of the state and federal government, organized the meeting, which brought together about 20 area residents to discuss the global warming task force.
