Following the path of Franklin Roosevelt and with the best New Deal planning, Obama will create new jobs in infrastructure development and, believe it or not, in new "green" industries. In this way he is taking care of two issues, global warming and the failing economy, with the same plan. This process, where the government helps to redistribute wealth is called - for those of you science majors out there - socialism. There are a fair amount of people who think this is bad. These people usually have a lot of money, and they don't want it to be given to a less affluent person who may need an expensive operation. When did this become a bad idea? I know that McCain spends a lot of time bashing what he sees to be the leftist elite. But to me it seems that these rich, affluent and most definitely elite people are flocking to support McCain - and to me their motivations are anything but honest. They are afraid that they will be called upon to help their fellow man in a very simple way - by giving some of their money to the government so that it can take care of the less fortunate.
