Africa: 40 LCD "experts" attend UN climate change meeting in Lesotho
APA-Maseru (Lesotho) A three-day first meeting of experts from the Least Developed Countries (LDCS) on climate change, opened Monday in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho.

Over 40 climate experts from Africa, the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, and the Pacific Islands States are attending the meeting which is organised by Lesotho and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Among other things, the meeting is aimed at assisting the experts to map out strategies to overcome the negative impacts of climate change in their respective countries and regions.
