Adelaide’s hottest Christmas Day on record was way back in 1888 when the city hit 42 degrees celsius.
Melbourne’s hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1907 when the city sweltered to 41 degrees celsius.
Canberra’s hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1957 when the mercury reached 37 degrees celsius.
Perth’s hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1968 when the mercury hit 42 degrees celsius.
Brisbane’s hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1972 when the mercury hit 39 degrees celsius.
The message in the UK Met Office press releases is that, since their is such poor skill with seasonal weather prediction, multi-decadal climate prediction must be a much less precise and accurate science than we have heard promoted by the IPCC and in the climate change press releases given out by the UK Met Office and others.
