Obama’s strongest message on climate yet: John Holdren to be named Science Adviser
Another crucial role for the science adviser is to help educate the public on climate science and solutions. As Holdren says, it is too late to prevent dangerous human-caused warming. But after eight years Bush spreading disinformation and muzzling scientists, putting Holdren in charge of the “bully pulpit of science” is just what the nation and the planet need if we are to have any chance of avoiding catastrophic warming.

...Wait — so there are things we still don't know?

Ya think?

Well, of course; but, in the race to save the planet, details about the planet's complex and changing climate somehow aren't that important. Especially now that carbon fighters have been tapped to lead Obama's energy and environment team, an honest, thorough examination of what we know and what we don't know about the climate — about what is projected and what is actually observed — is crucial. Sound public policy demands it; our grandchildren deserve it.
Gee, Thanks: More Policy Neutral Advice From the IPCC
Rajendra Pachauri, director of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC — an organization with a stated mandate to be policy neutral in its advice — offers the Obama Administration policy neutral helpful advice
on not only on U.S. participation in international negotiations in
climate policies (follow Europe’s lead), but also on domestic
transportation policies, federalism, energy security, and employment.
