[Allegedly] Growing warmer - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos
Some may still quibble with the assertion, as formulated the other day by a former environment secretary, that the marked rise in temperature in the last decade is “caused entirely by human actions.” But unless you are Sarah Palin, there should be no argument that global warming is a fact and human beings are responsible for much or most of it.
UW expert dismisses climate change as culprit
The News Tribune reviewed the volatile weather events over the last month and asked if this is a preview of future winters in the Northwest.

An answer to that question was provided by Cliff Mass, professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Washington, in a recent Associated Press article.

Mass said that these weather events happen, and that there’s no real indication that there has been a major increase for the whole region. He said that he has not seen a pattern of increasingly rainy weather in the region and dismissed suggestions that climate change might be affecting Washington’s weather patterns.
Can Kansas farmers profit from the Co2 scam?
A series of informational meetings on carbon credits for Kansas farmers and landowners will be held this month and in February throughout the state.

The first of seven meetings is Jan. 23 in the Neosho County Courthouse basement in Erie. It starts at 10:30 a.m.

The meetings will provide information on how farmers and ranchers can earn income from no-till crop production, planting new grass and specific rangeland management.

The Kansas Farm Bureau has partnered with Iowa's AgraGate Climate Credits Corp. in presenting the meetings. Steve Swaffar, director of the bureau's natural resources, will present the information.

Carbon credits are a key component of national and international emission trading plans that have been implemented to mitigate climate change.
