Debate over; it's freezing - The Denver Post
The same congressfolk who are now handing out thousands of tickets to this ecological disaster only last year mandated the phased elimination of the incandescent light bulb — a mere carbon tiptoe, if you will. The whole thing seems a bit unfair.
...
The day Waxman delivered his statement, the National Weather Service issued a warning for Chicago about wind chill somewhere in the vicinity of 25 to 40 below zero. In Maine, citizens expected something around 40 below zero. And Iowans were warned that temperatures could drop as far as 27 below. In many places across the nation, there was record-setting cold.

So, in other words, Waxman expects these unfortunate glacial souls to pay higher energy prices to shield themselves from Arctic chills in the name of global warming?

That's quite a trick.
The Topeka Capital-Journal - Letter: Global myth
How are widespread record lows possible if global warming is real?

Two plus two still equals four. When our taxes go up to pay for the tax revenue shortfalls that need not have happened, thank Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and her friends in the alarmist community. I'll remind you of this again in 2010 if our governor tries to run for the Senate. You can make book on that.

Victoria News - Reader disputes columnist’s ‘science’
In David Suzuki’s column, (Opinion, Dec. 10), he makes alarmist claims about global climate and blames humans for changes that may be occurring.

The fatal flaw in his argument is his definition of “science.” What does he say about the manipulation of tree ring data in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 2001 report?
