North Dakota News - Snow-laden roofs close buildings
Michelle Saari, a vice president at Investors Real Estate Trust, said the Arrowhead Shopping Center in Minot was closed at 1 p.m. on Wednesday so the roof could be inspected and snow removed.

"Record snowfall has collapsed many buildings' roofs across the state, so we're taking a proactive approach," Saari said.

Temperature in HCM City yesterday fell to 17 degrees, the lowest since 2000. The temperatures in Dong Nai Province fell to 16 and to 17.5 degrees in Binh Phuoc Province.

The lowest temperatures were recorded in 1975 - 13.6 degrees.

HAMBURG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - The Arctic cold front gripping Michigan has claimed at least one life, and dozens of schools are closed because of the deep freeze.
2 men die in St. Paul during week's bitter cold
Two men -- one a longtime resident of St. Paul's North End area and the other an Arizona man apparently living out of his car -- died this week in St. Paul as a result of the bitter cold, authorities said Thursday.
