This is indeed a very important book. Notice how all the other estimates (besides the IPCC's) are of the same magnitude as Freeman Dyson's 12 year figure obtained from a back-of-the-envelope calculation based on the annual variation in C02 level measured by Keeling at man Loa (F. Dyson,

Wait! Don't you see all these studies are from before 1992 and so are 'old' science.

Coincidentally, around 1992 was when Al Gore started to control science funding in the U.S.
