NH road crews tackle massive snowbanks
Although there's been plenty of snow the past few years, the temperature has usually been high enough to melt the snowbanks, Russell said.

Not this year.

That means motorists are inching out of side streets, parking lots and driveways, peering around the massive mounds of snow piled everywhere.

"There are bankings that have reached about 5 feet at some of the intersections," said Mike Fowler, Derry's director of public works. "A lot of cars these days are low to the ground and can't see above 4 or 5 feet.
