Was the January 10, 2009 CO2-hysteric "National Polar Bear Plunge" a complete flop?

I've looked around on the web, and the silence about this event is deafening. I can see that various people are still jumping in cold water for other causes, but how many Americans participated in last Saturday's "Get Cold to Stop Global Warming" event?
