Good luck: Hillary Clinton's climate-saving voyage | csmonitor.com
To help Obama win a Senate vote on emission caps, she needs to have China take action on global warming, too.
--
Hillary Clinton chose Asia, particularly China, for her maiden voyage next week as secretary of State. While the most urgent issue is Beijing's help to end a global recession, Mrs. Clinton's more planet-saving goal is to enlist China to set curbs on its carbon emissions. Without that, President Obama may not be able to win enough Senate votes for a cap on US greenhouse gases.
Make homes carbon zero by 2050 says Miliband - www.aboutproperty.co.uk
The proposals, unveiled by Ed Miliband, energy and climate change secretary, aim to make British homes more energy efficient and reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2050.
More of the usual idiocy from Will Steger
Steger's dramatic film clips of gigantic chunks of ancient glaciers breaking off and falling into the ocean are fascinating to watch, but their significance is chilling.

Along with the visual evidence of planetary warming, Steger presented ideas about what might be done to counteract the enormous changes being documented. He proposes an entire new economy based on energy self-sufficiency--as in green energy self-sufficiency.

For years, he said, special interests from the coal and petroleum industries had paid off scientists to keep the denials going about global warming. It can’t be denied any longer.

"The evidence is finally so compelling," he said."The science is out there."
