Impending global climate doom? Relax … it isn't going to happen | The Tennessean
[Michael Kimmitt] For those who expect our impending doom, there's good news. It ain't gonna happen — not from uncontrolled man-made global warming anyway. Wide-ranging and little understood interactions of many factors (the earth's tilt and orbit changes, the sun's energy output, cloud formations, volcanic eruptions and much more) drive global temperatures and they are down since 1998. This decade-long cooling followed a 28-year warming period, which followed a 30-year cooling period, which followed... Oh, you get the idea.
It's unintended humor | The Dallas Morning News
Thank you to The Dallas Morning News for publishing the delightful climate change fable by Bill McKibben. It provided a much-needed respite from the more serious news of the day, such as the historic Arctic blasts pounding both coasts of the U.S. and northern Europe.
The much-flawed and derided research by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) cited so earnestly by McKibben was exceptionally comical.

Economy can’t wait on boutique energy
[W. ASHBY RHAME] Hold on for just one minute: I am more concerned about freezing my buns off than burning up as a crispy critter.

There is nothing more depressing to my soul than hearing a Democrat whining and moaning about how terrible my country is. Maybe in their part, but not in mine yet! Before we let Hussein go running off on his quest to save the earth from the “man made” global warming hoax, thus wasting billions of dollars on unproven alternative boutique fuels, or solar and wind technology, we already know they are not viable (cheap effective) alternative energy sources, so perhaps you should guide him in the direction of aggressively developing proven, viable, natural resources — like, gee, oil, gas, coal, and nuclear.
