Climate Science: Roger Pielke Sr. Research Group News » Open Letter By The Cato Institute On Climate Science
The dismissive response on Real Climate and on Grist to this letter do not provide the objective scientific rebuttal to these science claims. This is unfortunate and is misleading policymakers, but, as we have learned and reported many times on at Climate Science and elsewhere (e.g. see and see), this is the way the IPCC and CCSP community deals with solid science that disagrees with their perspective.Al Fin: Climate Models Get Blindsided by Halo Effect
In other words, climate models over-predict heating because they have the feedbacks of Earth's normal heat dynamics completely backward. Modelers try to hide their mistake behind phantom particulates. But climate model predictions are diverging from real temperature observations more wildly every year. The amounts in the atmosphere are very small and the amount contributed by man is a minute fraction of that. There are already many efforts to cut down on CO2 emissions, which when looked at respectively and with the evidence that there actually is against anthropogenic climate change, won't make a difference in the temperatures on the planet, much less scorch the earth to smithereens, or flood all major coastlines as the alarmist like to suggest.
