Lindzen’s speech focused on the difficulty that climate change doubters have in getting their message out and how many in the scientific community, while having doubts, simply go along with global warming alarmists as it, “just makes their lives easier.” He believes that the politicizing of the issue had, “an extraordinarily corrupting influence on science -- especially since the issue has been a major motivation for funding.”

How did we ever get to the point where otherwise "sane" people believe that riding a bike can reduce storms or lower global temperatures?
