HE’S MY PRESIDENT, BUT I DON’T HAVE TO LIKE IT

The way Obama has been jetting around on Air Force One, which costs the taxpayers a bloody fortune every time it lifts off the tarmac, you’d think the environmentalists would be reading him the riot act. But as we’ve learned with Al Gore and Robert Kennedy, Jr., so long as you’re a liberal, you only have to say the right things about fossil fuels, you don’t actually have to believe them.

Earth Hour Just Days Away

The City of Prince George and the Regional District of Fraser Fort George have made a comittment to take part in the event. At City hall, the blue LED lights in the trees outside City hall will be turned off and the City has promised to turn out lights wherever is safely possible. The same goes for the Reginal District of Fraser Fort George.

There is something a little different this year, as Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF is urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

If you receive 1 billion votes out of 6.7 billion people, how does that constitute a win?
