Area residents remember the cold.
La Crosse resident Brady Palmer says, "Oh, just long. One of the longest I can remember. Let's see it was just snowy in December. January it was just cold."
Holmen resident Matt Lambert says, "Brutal, absolutely. I've never been through a winter we just had so much snow and cold. It was a rough winter."
The term “global weirding” was invented by Hunter Lovins, a founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute, to describe the often unpredictable weather changes – more rain in some areas, droughts in others -- that accompany global warming.Reddie Reasons.: Global Warming -- A Summary.
