NC Media Watch: Does phase of PDO impact California Snowpack?
From 1950-2002 studies showed a declining snow pack. Studies from 1900 to 2002 show a slightly increasing snow pack, but you can see the PDO influence in all the studies. ICECAP has a recap here. Want to guess which studies the AGW crowd quotes? Your were right again. Congratulations.

...the League of Conservation Voters Tuesday released a video in which Limbaugh’s attacks on conservation and global warming theory are played over the talking heads of Republican leaders.

“We know the oil and coal industry are going to spend $20 million this year trying to get their message out there, so us coordinating to get our message out in terms of trying to advance a progressive agenda is a huge opportunity,” said Navin Nayak, the director of the global warming project at the League of Conservation Voters.

Note especially the candor in serial assertions that, yes, each morning a left-wing band begins their day with a conference call to identify anyone who opposes them, and then set out in orderly fashion to smear them. The entire focus is to assail the speaker, and no one so much as hints at a desire to engage on the substance, to persuade and prevail on the merits.

If Gore’s heart is in the right place, shouldn’t he get a pass on some slight exaggerations? Or is there some way to interpret Gore’s statements in such a way as they are not incorrect? It’s not like he is George Will or anything, right?
