Environmentalism has become less about saving the planet and more about worshiping it.
C3: Obama's Cap & Trade Taxpayer Cost Estimate Will Be 5 Times Higher Than Stated? Potentially $3 Trillion Plus?
Obama's proposed CO2 'Cap & Trade' U.S. program is estimated by his administration to be a total cost of $650 billion for consumers ("taxpayers") over the first 8 years. Based on previous Federal government incompetence at estimating total costs of new endeavors (see below list), one should multiply any Obama or Congressional estimate by at least 5x to be safe. So, what does that mean? The cost of Obama's 'Cap & Trade' consumer tax over next 8 years will probably exceed $3.25 trillion, or some $28,000+ per U.S. household. Here are some previous horrendously wrong cost estimates that are eye-opening, to say the least...
Scoop: Zombie science, Zombie politics
According to the principles laid down by Dr Bruce Charlton anthropogenic global warming (as advocated by Al Gore, the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and our own Government), is zombie science. It is based on a false hypothesis that the increase in human-induced greenhouse gas emissions is causing dangerous global warming.

The facts disproving the manmade global warming hypothesis are indisputable: over the last decade man-made greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise, but global temperatures have fallen.

That is not what is supposed to happen, according to the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis. It means that the climate change policies being considered by our government are a waste of time and money. [Via Climate Realists]
King Winter damages traditional European winter harvests
King Winter has damaged several traditional European winter harvests. Southern European countries were particularly affected. This is stated in the market and harvest report from Ardo. The broccoli harvest in Portugal and Spain were delayed by prolonged cold and wet weather. Ultimately everything could not be harvested, as a result turnovers were lower.
Buller to open for skiing after cold snap snowfall | theage.com.au
VICTORIA'S record-breaking autumn cold snap might produce another first — skiing on the first weekend of May.

The Mount Buller alpine resort has announced it will open for limited downhill skiing this weekend, five weeks before the ski season's official opening.

The resort, which is normally bare at this time of year, has had 35 centimetres of snowfall since the weekend.

The six-seat chairlift on the Bourke Street run will be open on both days, marking the earliest opening of a lift and ski run in the resort's history.

"It's the best snow we've had this early since 1964, so it's pretty huge for us," Mt Buller spokeswoman Gillian Dobson said.
